Botox Cosmetic

Botox Cosmetic Botox® Cosmetic has become one of the most popular treatments for facial wrinkles. Facial wrinkles can be divided into two categories: dynamic and static. Dynamic wrinkles are due to the action of facial muscles. Examples are prominent forehead creases, brow furrows or eye lines (crow's feet). Static wrinkles, on the other hand, are typically due to the cumulative effects of gravity, sun exposure, smoking, skin problems, poor nutrition, or genetic predisposition, such as lines around the mouth. Botox Cosmetic can effectively treat dynamic facial wrinkles.

What is Botox Cosmetic?

Botox Cosmetic is a purified protein that temporarily improves the appearance of dynamic facial wrinkles in people aged 18 to 65. During the treatment, very low doses of Botox cosmetic are administered through a few small injections directly into the muscles that cause that cause facial wrinkles. Botox Cosmetic works by blocking the chemicals that cause facial muscles to contract, making them relax and lessening the appearance of the wrinkles they create.
